A New era of communicating with the fans is about to take place. We’re trying our best to dust off our community building skills, but want you to join us tonight in reflection of recent events in the Blue Man Group community and how these latest announcements may affect you.
It’s one thing to lose a venue in a major city where Blue Man Group has been performing maybe 5 or 6 years. We’ve seen venues come and go in year’s past from Toronto, Amsterdam, London and Tokyo. Losing a venue that’s been historically a part of Blue Man Group’s iconic 30 year run sort of takes one by surprise. Losing two venues within weeks of each other, especially the birthplace of Blue Man Group’s humble beginnings dating back to 1991 is a gut punch none of us saw coming. Chicago’s Briar Street Theatre ended it’s 27 year run on January 5th, followed just 2 weeks later by Astor Place Theatre’s iconic 33 year run on February 2nd. The announcements came just days before Thanksgiving 2024, leaving staff, crew, musicians, actors and the fan base in total shock. Join us tonight as we deep dive into these closures, what it means for the future of Blue Man Group as an “IP” and it’s parent company Cirque du Soleil.
Tonight’s Hosts & Discord
Your hosts tonight will be tag team Joe & Alex Burke from Orlando, Florida. We’ll be utilizing our newly formed Discord Server to engage with fans in a live chat setting. Dust off your headphones or earbuds and getting to chime and join the gang on camera with other blue man fans.
