To everyone attending the final Blue Man Group performance at The Chuck this weekend—may you have the most unforgettable and glorious time celebrating not just the show, but the extraordinary cast, crew, and dedicated employees who have poured their hearts into making each experience unforgettable.
This isn’t just the end of a show. It’s the closing chapter of CMP’s last brick-and-mortar venue, a legacy that began back in the ’90s. It’s both historic and bittersweet. In the rush of pre-show energy, mid-show magic, and post-show reflections, one thing often gets lost—honor.
Honor the Blue Men.
Honor the stage crew and behind-the-scenes warriors.
And above all, honor each other for being there to witness and celebrate this incredible sendoff.
If you get the chance, look into the eyes of any crew member or usher, and simply say, “Thank you.” Those two words carry the weight of legacy.
Though my heart breaks that I can’t be there and have never seen a performance at The Charles Playhouse, knowing so many of you will be present brings me peace. You’re the living tribute to what CMP once stood for—art, innovation, connection.
This weekend marks not just the end of a venue, but the closing of an era—the original ideologies and ambitions that once sparked CMP’s national vision. Whether you view the changes ahead as progress or loss, we now stand at the sidelines, applauding the past and hoping for a rebirth of Blue Man, the arts, and live entertainment in this post-pandemic world.
Godspeed, friends.
Give Boston the love, noise, and reverence it rightfully deserves.
